Job Summary

The Alternative Investment Processing Associate facilitates the processing of Alternative Investment transactions for client teams.  This includes hedged strategies, managed futures, real assets, alternative fixed income and private investment offerings.  This associate is a member of the Centralized Services team and acts as the liaison between the Investment department, client teams and fund companies for communication updates and important notifications. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Processes Alternative Investment (AI) transactions for client teams including subscriptions, contributions, distributions, redemption and transfers.
  • Coordinates implementation of processing new fund offerings between Investment department and client teams.
  • Reviews fund documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to submission. Facilitates review of items needing clarification with client teams.   
  • Acts as the liaison between client teams and fund companies to ensure timely communication on open issues, inquiries and tax reporting.
  • Works closely with Business Intelligence team to ensure transactions are processed and reported correctly in Moneta’s data aggregation system.
  • Works closely with Investment department to facilitate communication on AI fund updates, orders, research data and upcoming events.
  • Communicates with custodians as needed regarding processing of AI paperwork.
  • Modifies and documents internal business processes as needed.
  • Communicates changes in processes with the firm.

Qualifications

  • B.S. Business, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 2 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Work experience that demonstrates interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Must be organized, meticulous, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
  • Ability to interact well with external service providers and all employees
  • Commitment to ‘Raving Fan’ service
  • Professional attitude, demeanor, and appearance
