  • Job Summary

     Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Marketing and Communications will define and drive Moneta’s marketing and communications strategy to maintain our dominant brand in the St. Louis region, and develop a National Market presence and position of prominence in vibrant and growing cities throughout the United States to attract new clients, new Advisory teams, new talent; will provide creative leadership to communicate how Moneta differentiates from our competition; ensures our culture is accurately conveyed including our ‘Vision’ and our ‘WHY’

    The role will include tactical execution and providing direction to a small team within the department.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Interacts successfully with Managing Partner/CEO as part of an empowered Management Team tasked with executing our strategic initiatives as determined by the Board of Directors and supported by all the Partners
    • Creates a National Market Presence strategy to gain access to new markets, clients and professionals
    • Ensures the strategy includes communicating how Moneta stands apart from our competition (our amazing client experience; Professionals; Culture; Leadership; Independent Ownership; Platform and Service Offering for our clients, teams and future Partners; Practice Management/Strategic Planning for teams; an Attractive Alternative for successful RIA firms who wish to remain independent)
    • Identifies and facilitates opportunities to raise the visibility of firm team members, including speaking and teaching opportunities, and thought leadership
    • Collaborates with marketing team members on branding and communication initiatives, including strategy development, creative development, copy and implementation of internal and external campaigns
    • Manages and publishes a steady stream of social and web content to showcase the firm’s work, people, culture, and community impact efforts
    • Follows industry news and trends to identify opportunities for firm promotion, and to help inspire the firm and its work
    • Leads the development and redesign of our internal and external website
    • Budgets and manages the department’s financial resources
    • Operates with a wide degree of creativity and latitude
    • Fosters an environment of open, honest, and timely communication


    • B.S. Marketing/Communications or related field; Master’s level preferred
    • Director level leadership experience in a professional environment
    • Strategic, management, and tactical experience with Marketing/Communications concepts, practices, and procedures
    • Strategic partner experience at the executive level
    • Ability to multi-task, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment
    • Excellent interpersonal skills; interacts successfully with colleagues
    • Professional attitude, demeanor, and appearance
