Alternative Investment Processing Specialist

Job Summary

Moneta is seeking a Alternative Investment Processing Specialist to join our Enterprise Services Team in St. Louis. The Alternative Investment Processing Specialist handles the administrative and operational tasks related to Alternative Investment transactions for client teams. Alternative Investment this Specialist will work on include hedged strategies, managed futures, real assets, alternative fixed income and private investment offerings.  The specialist is a member of the Operational Services team and acts as a point of contact for client teams on matters regarding Alternative Investments.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Process transactions related to Alternative Investments (AI) for client teams including subscriptions, contributions, distributions, redemptions and transfers.
  • Work with systems & custodian teams to ensure the processes for AI’s at each custodian are up to date.
  • Assist in the implementation of processing new fund offerings for the client teams.
  • Review fund documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to submission. Facilitate review of items needing clarification with client teams.   
  • Act as the liaison between client teams, Artivest and fund companies to ensure timely communication on open issues, inquiries and tax reporting.
  • Enter transactions and ensure funds are reported correctly in Moneta’s data aggregation system.
  • Communicate with custodians as needed regarding processing of AI paperwork.
  • Modify and document internal business processes as needed.
  • Work on special projects as needed


  • B.S. Business, Finance, or related field preferred
  • One year or more of relevant experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; Salesforce CRM
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Work experience that demonstrates interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Must be organized, meticulous, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
  • Ability to interact well with external service providers and all employees
  • Commitment to ‘Raving Fan’ service
  • Professional attitude, demeanor, and appearance
