Senior Financial Advisor - Worcester, MA

Job Summary

The Senior Advisor will work closely with the Partner Teams and other Advisors on the team to advise clients who bring unique client situations to Moneta. In this role you will work with clients who do not fit our traditional business models but offer unique financial planning challenges. The Senior Advisor will work with Partner teams to give the appropriate advice for clients on issues ranging from investment strategies, retirement planning, education savings, tax strategies, estate planning, insurance strategies, and more. The Senior Advisor is expected to lead client meetings, as well as work with clients and prospects in prospecting and fact finding through financial action plans and annual reviews. In all client interactions our Advisors need to focus on the 'Why' for Moneta.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Works closely with the Partner teams and serves as Subject Matter Expert to the firm on all aspects of Family CFO business
  • Leads client meetings including first interviews, confidential fact-finding, financial action plans, implementation meetings, and reviews
  • Prepares and reviews financial action plans
  • Participates in testing new technologies for the firm and applies complex testing skills utilizing financial planning expertise
  • Helps to lead firm and team in strategic planning discussions and executes vision
  • Assists team to enhance training and deliver absorbable reporting to the client
  • Teaches systems knowledge and efficiency within Moneta University learning management platform
  • Facilitates services for client including investment management, retirement planning, education planning, tax and accounting services, insurance planning, banking and cash management, business planning, estate planning, and philanthropic strategies
  • Takes ownership of financial solutions for issues faced by complex clients
  • Develops and sources new business with prospect and referral pipeline from teams, call in’s, and referral networks
  • Collaborates with the Partner to carry out marketing and business development opportunities
  • Participates in Moneta Executive Mentorship program as well as provides coaching, mentoring, and training to team members
  • Conducts annual performance appraisals for direct reports
  • Champions team vision and leads by example
  • Promotes culture of engagement and empowerment
  • Commits to ongoing education to remain an authority in family CFO matters
  • Ensures 'Why' of Moneta are incorporated into the duties and responsibilities of the role

Qualifications

  • CFP, CFA, Series 65, or combination of Series 7 and Series 66 required
  • 8+ years’ experience offering holistic financial planning advice in a professional environment
  • Professional experience monitoring and evaluating investments
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel
  • Experience leading a team environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to interact well with clients and employees
